When we’re not chowing down on delicious vegan foods, we’re busy making plans for our future adventures. Despite everything, the world is still beautiful, and we would definitely love to explore it once more, one day. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got a fresh batch of great photos in store for you, gathered from the galleries of Instagram’s dedicated adventurers. We’ve got scenic vistas, serene slopes, and so much more for you to feast your eyes on.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @cnuwat, showcasing the historic Plain of Jars in Laos. Unlike, say, a place like the Devil’s Armchair, the Plain of Jars is quite literal in its name, a grassy plain where various prehistoric stone jars are scattered about. The exact purpose of these jars are uncertain, but they were most likely used as storage by the humans who lived in Laos long ago. It’s astounding how prehistory can still be visited today, as if these places of antiquity defied the march of time itself.

Next up is a quiet shot of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, courtesy of @little_bear_wanders. Black Canyon is home to the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest bird in the world, as well as the site of a steep gorge with geological makeup as old as the Precambrian period. This particular shot invites an air of mystery, the valley gradually fading off into the horizon, suggesting the ancient and awe-inspiring nature of this particular slice of the world.

Kirkjufell is the most photographed mountain in Iceland, and with good reason. @schneideriphotographie’s sunrise shot really highlights the photogenic quality of this natural landmark, with its aesthetically-pleasing shape and its vividly green surroundings. From the wispy clouds in the foreground to the softly burbling stream in the background, this photo embodies a feeling of stillness and serenity, in a time when such things feel too rare.

@menfisphotography presents a stunning view of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, or “The Three Peaks of Lavaredo.” The Alps is the home of various beautiful mountains, and this particular part of the mountain range is no exception. Here we see the green foreground gradually sloping down, leading to the icy slopes of the mountains themselves, beneath a deep blue sky obscured by clouds. Mountain ranges like these look like they can go on forever.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @ed_yach, presenting a gorgeous sunset shot of Volcan Toliman. This stratovolcano can be found in Guatemala, looming over Lake Atitlan, the deepest lake in Central America. The peak itself looks almost triangular as the orange hues of dusk clouds surround it. There’s a primal sense of majesty to this photo, the darkened shape of the stratovolcano presenting a foreboding, yet serene vibe to it.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe for you to travel again, why not showcase your own expeditions? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe they’ll be featured in a future blog!
