Tuesday is just one day after the start of the week, the day that we shake off the Monday blues and get ready for the next set of busy days to come. On such a day like Tuesday, we showcase a selection of great curated photos that we hope will keep your sense of adventure alive. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog!

This week, we’ve quite a selection of photos for you, gathered from the galleries of the great folk of Instagram. We’ve got shorelines, castles, waterfalls and so much more in store for you.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pic of the week belongs to @justmyphonephotos, presenting a serene shot of Dunquin Pier. Here we see the principal hues of the earth, namely blue and green, forming a beautiful canvas that, despite the lack of living creatures, feels so refreshing and alive. It’s like a neighborhood right after the first rays of dawn, in that space between a silent night and a busy morning.

Next up is a somber yet striking shot of Plitvice National Park. We like mentioning the Impressionistic style of art around here, but this one really reminds us of that style of painting. Despite its relative gray tones, there’s a sense of depth and scale to this photo by @a_knapic, the little touches of color providing an immersive view of the park.

@let.s_explore presents this gorgeous shot of Chamarel Waterfall, a cascade of water that descends into the gaping dark of the cave below. The way the upper surface is so small compared to the vastness of the cave really sells the largeness of it. What we love most about waterfalls is that they present a sense of scale and this one captures that perfectly.

@sandra.fraga_ showcases Obidos Castle in Portugal beneath a set of roiling clouds, the grayness of the sky contrasting with the vivid verdant green of the earth below. The castle itself looks like part of the background, the colors of its walls the perfect hue of natural stone. The way the ground is sloped also provides an interesting view of this ancient locale, as if it was meant to stare down at the lands it once ruled over.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @olav_almere, presenting a photo of the Hyacinth fields of Almere, Holland. The color of these beautiful flowers is just so eye-catching, but they wouldn’t be complete without the subtle radiance of the offscreen sun. Oh, to walk across these fields and smell the fresh scent of flowers.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe for you to travel again, why not showcase your own photos? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe they’ll be featured in a future blog!
