The natural world is such a remarkable place, a collection of breathtaking vistas that we live and thrive in. After spending so long indoors, the idea of a future vegan holiday is just so enticing, once it’s alright to travel far and wide, of course. On our Travel Tuesday blog, we aim to gather and present some of the best examples of the world’s natural beauty, the ever-changing canvas of nature itself.

This week, we’re excited to showcase another curated gallery of photos, collected from the great folk of Instagram. We’ve got islands, cliffs, caves and other great locales to show you.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @louietoledo, presenting a serene image of the Marble Cathedral. The remote nature and the cool hue of the isle, combined with the uncertain time of day (is it dawn? Is it dusk? Is it noon with clouds obscuring the sun?) makes the whole image seem so ethereal. It’s not what you’d regularly see when looking for images of the Marble Cathedral, but it is still a striking image nonetheless.

Bask in the beauty of Phoksundo Lake in this bird’s eye shot by @naturejab. From the rippling blue waters to the craggy cliffs, all the components of this image combine together into a pleasant whole. The bright daylight also belies the coldness of the water, along with the elevation of this locale with regards to sea level. You won’t find anything like this place on Earth. Each lake is unique in its own way.

@kevin.gil.1111 presents a breathtaking shot from the easternmost point of Madeira island, Ponta de São Lourenço. Here we see a great dynamic landscape that looks so hardy and weathered, yet inviting and full of adventure. This image just gives off a sense of wanderlust and splendor to it, a compulsion to bask in the warmth of the sun and feel the wind kiss your skin.

@jhetta showcases a frozen cave near Lake Superior, the world’s largest freshwater lake. Here we see an underground structure completely covered in ice, the toothlike stalactites dangling above a cave mouth that leads towards an open sky billowing with clouds. With spring fast approaching, such cool imagery will eventually melt away, so until then, let’s appreciate the beauty of this frozen locale.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @iresh.me, showcasing a gorgeous golden sunset (or is it sunrise) in Balakaduwa. Here we see the tops of trees subsumed by the sheer radiance of the sun beginning or concluding the day, the vibrant hue of our star reducing the canopy to a faint shadowy shape beneath its glow. Wherever we may live, we all experience the same rising and setting of the sun, the same chance to begin anew each day.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe for you to travel again, why not showcase your own adventures? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe you’ll be featured in a future blog!
