The second day of the week is usually when the next seven days pick up their momentum. Monday may herald a new week, but Tuesday is when it really gets going. Welcome to our Travel Tuesday blog.
This week, we’ve got a great collection of photos to showcase, gathered from the beautiful galleries of dedicated IG photographers. We’ve got vibrant blue seas, enchanting tree lines, and more.

Ready? Let’s go!

Let’s begin the week with an idyllic shot from the Scottish Highlands, courtesy of @wildjourneygirl. Despite being a still frame that you’re viewing digitally, this photo is so dynamic and vibrant, from the sunlight grass to the rolling waves in the foreground. Of course, this photo would not be complete without the brick structure to the right. It just puts everything into perspective.

Next up is a high altitude shot of Lake Annecy by @eddy.moons. Here we see a brilliant blue body of water surrounded by so much life and livelihood, houses and structures made small by the distance of where the photograph was taken. Here we also see how, from so far away, the lake and its surrounding areas have begun turning blue, sharing its hue with the sky above, the effect of scattering light at work.

@travellingworld_official presents this scenic shot of Lake Konigssee, lit by the fading glow of a setting sun. The way the surface ripples just gives a sense of dynamism and life to this lake, while the peeping sunray gives it a nostalgic feeling. Lakes have a unique vibe to them that make them different from shorelines and streams. We’d love to visit this one day.

Such a wondrous atmosphere! @mysolotravelling presents a well-framed photo from Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist temple. The great bell-like structures give a sense of antiquity and gravity to this old locale, and the distant road and misty horizon give the place an ethereal aura. We can almost see ourselves standing atop those ancient stones, contemplating our place in the world so high above the ground.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @valentiin__, presenting a gorgeous view from a cliff on Reunion Island. Just look at that horizon! It’s so mesmerizing, complementing the lively green of the slanting cliffs. Places like this look like they belong in a dream. Traveling far and wide has been the dream of many, and we hope that one day we can do so freely again, and visit locales as beautiful as this.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel far and wide again, why not join in on our weekly celebrations?
