Have you ever made a mood board? Well, it’s pretty simple, actually. It’s a collage of photos with a common idea or theme, designed to convey that specific “feel” without having to write it out. Many professionals, including graphic designers, use mood boards for their work. While we’re still waiting for a chance to go on vegan holidays, why not make a mood board for your own personal use? Stimulate your sense with inspiring imagery, and keep your sense of wonder and creativity alive. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got great photos from the many great folk of Instagram, places that invoke comfortable and memorable emotions, especially in a time when we’re yearning to explore the world again. We’ve got beautiful skylines, dynamic slopes, and more in store for you.

Ready? Let’s go!

Gaze upon this beautiful Silvretta-Stausee trail, captured by @cseke.peter. Quite a splendid beginning to the week, don’t you think? We’ve all been yearning for that sweet escape to somewhere cleaner and greener. The verdant path just makes us feel relaxed and certain, the open space in the photo like a window to someplace better.

All mountains are majestic in their own way, but dormant volcanoes have a very specific vibe to them. @cinnamonshotelofficial’s shot of Gunung Prau, for example, exudes a sense of relaxed majesty, the glow of the horizon giving off that pleasant aesthetic feel. Maybe it’s the knowledge that these places may one day break their placidity and spew the earth’s inner flame, and seeing them at rest feels almost like a relief. What do you think?

This forest from Zona Sur is presented by @francisco.leivaart, with a still image of a particular spot in a much larger woodland. The way that the sunlight just filters through the leafy walls of the forest is captivating, and the sheer greenery of the locale contrasts a lot with the indoor environments that we’ve been used to for so long. Have you ever heard of “forest baths?” Well, this photo makes us want to take one.

@carolinafcantor presents this somewhat surreal shot of a lake in Tasmania. Why surreal? Well, look closely. There’s an uncanniness to the water below, and the way the clouds billow above the slightly-leaning landscape almost looks like a fish-eye shot. These two factors present a peculiar contrast to this seemingly simple image, and because of that it caught our eye.

Sunset’s are quite beautiful. Our final pick of the week belongs to @axel._lujan, showcasing one such sunset in Julia Dofour. From the field of flowers to the soft pinkish hues of the clouds, everything about this photo emanates comfort and melancholy, of nostalgic afternoons and almost faded memories of better times. When we get out of our houses, let’s cherish any memories that we make afterward.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel far and wide again, why not submit your photos for our weekly galleries? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe they’ll be featured in an upcoming blog!
