Feeling a sense of wanderlust that you’re just itching to satiate? Desperate to stretch your legs and feel the wind blow through your hair? Yearning for a vegan holiday once it’s safe to travel en masse again? Well, we might have to wait a little while longer, but until we’ve got the go signal, let’s make the most out of it! Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog!

This week, we’ve got some beautiful vistas and locations for you to admire, compiled from the galleries of the great folk of Instagram. We’ve got shorelines and waterfalls, islands and bays, and all the beauties of the sky and sea together in harmony.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick belongs to @azerbaijan.tourguide, showcasing the pleasantly pink tones of the Pink Lake near Baku. It looks all so surreal, with a cake-like gradient and a reflective surface mirroring the passing clouds above. Such places like this only come about due to various natural environmental factors, and hopefully we can still preserve such natural beauty in the future.

Next up is a photo of the Calanques de Piana by @dronerika, a shot full of warm hues and evocative textures. There’s a three-dimensional quality to this photo, as the mountains in the foreground clearly trail back towards the misty shapes in the background. The image would not be complete without the clear blue of the gulf and the messy patchwork white and blue of the sky above, factors that contribute to the majesty of the whole thing.

@licrondamon presents this intimate photo of an oasis in Chebika. From this vantage point, the oasis looks quite small and remote, an almost-hidden source of water and coolness in a rocky and dry mountain. It’s the contrast between such earthen locales that makes an oasis feel magical, a place of pleasant blues and greens in a land dominated by rough rocky colors. This oasis was once a Roman outpost, and even here we see a brick wall blending with the natural stone.

Ah, Zakynthos! @losttesic’s beautiful photo of the white stone island is quite scenic. From a high vantage point, the small slice of Zakynthos captured in this photo looks quite minimalistic, yet all the more memorable. Stark white, bright blue and speckled green seem to be the most common yet aesthetically-appealing color scheme of Greek locales that we’ve covered. The stones and the waters really work well together in that regard, and the trees and bushes help provide texture for the land.

Our last pick of the week belongs to @danylopezelfotografo, showcasing the serenity of Semuc Champey, Guatemala. Here we see the deep blue waters move gently across richly colored stone, as the green of the woods around it seem to embrace it and make it more whole. There are times when an extravagant vacation is desirable, and there are times when a quiet outing is needed. This locale gives off certain vibes that make it more fitting for the latter.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel far and wide again, why not join in on our weekly blog?
