There are special places that we visit more than once in our lives. Maybe it’s a museum, or a local park, or a national monument that’s only a drive away. Such places become important cornerstones in our lives, destinations that have produced countless memories. However, sometimes these places change. Maybe that museum closed down, or the local park began renovating. Maybe that national monument can’t be visited at the moment due to the current pandemic. Change is inevitable, but sometimes, it is temporary. Sometimes, it can be good. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got a great gallery of wonderful Instagram photos compiled for you, places that would look great for one’s future vegan travel plans. We’ve got waterfalls, mountains and more in store for you this week.

Ready? Let’s go!

What a fine daylight shot of Gia Lai Province, Vietnam courtesy of @workchinh. Here the calm blue tones of the air are charged with a sense of anticipation, as if they’re only a taste of what else the day has in store. See, a great photo doesn’t always have to rely on the majesty of the locale presented. Sometimes, it just has to have that sense of subtle wonder to make it memorable. The trees in the foreground really make this photo work.

Oh, what it would be like to walk through clouds! Well, these sure aren’t clouds, but they do look quite nice and misty. @travelphotography_kim presents this immersive shot of Rotorua and its sulfur lakes. Such a place must smell a lot but from the looks of it, the experience of walking among the waters that billow smoke and cloud is quite memorable. Sulfur lakes are a unique locale that we’d love to visit one day.

This semi-symmetrical shot of Wat Panyanantharam belongs to @suwichanon_mahahing. Here we see the carvings and symbols of the temple clear in the unobstructed daylight, the shadows of the temple’s niches giving it an old and storied facade. There’s a sense of wonder and majesty to the man-made structures of the ancient world, in how they retain their air of dignity and respect in the modern day. This structure is no exception.

@loanntraveler presents a road-shot of a snow-capped mountain in Iceland. The road is ever the symbol of travel and journeys, a winding sign of civilization that passes through the belly of nature and all its forms, from green forests to high mountains. Here the road seems to lead on towards the snow-capped mountains, an ever-staple natural landmark that we’ve presented before. Although it’s not ideal at the moment, road trips through non-urban locales can be quite memorable.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @c_s974, with a lovely aerial shot of Trou de Fer, a waterfall in Reunion Island. Here we see another beautiful cascade of water, this time emptying itself into the far crevasses of a high valley. The multitude of trees above and below the steep valley face look like moss from so high up, and the roar and fury of the falling river would only sound like a dull echo from far away. Waterfalls can be enjoyed both up close and (such as in this photo) from far away.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos. When it’s safe to travel again, why not join in? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe you’ll be featured in a future blog!
