The present is a concept ever in flux. Like water from a river, the moment that you give the present a good long look, you’re already imagining the past, as the river passes on. In a way, one can never truly return to the past. Even if you return to a place that you’ve already been to, it has changed. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. That only means that when you revisit places or people that you haven’t seen in a while, you’ll see and experience something entirely new. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve compiled five great photos from around the world, shot by the great people of Instagram. We’ve got mountains, waterfalls and so much more in store for you this week. We’re itching to go on a vegan culinary cruise, true, but we’re still quite happy to see the rest of the world through the medium of well-shot photographs.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first shot of the week is from @phnmin, showcasing a modest yet captivating sunrise from behind the mountains of Vietnam. The small group of trees stand before the slope like travelers marveling at the rising sun, a light manifesting as golden rays between the moody wall of cloud and the darker hue of the distant mountains. Oh, how we long to feel the cool mountain breeze while witnessing the sunrise!

@evanlune presents our next travel pick, a glorious photo showcasing Wat Arun at twilight. Here we see the temple basking in golden illumination, similar to Aruna, its namesake. The soft purple gradient of the evening sky just accents the majesty of this locale. The way that the lights of the city as it descends into the night reflects against the shimmering water looks quite scenic too. Wat Arun looks just amazing.

Here we see one of the Altai Mountains of Mongolia, courtesy of @tushigphotography. There’s just something so photograph-worthy about mountains and their surrounding regions. Maybe it’s their sheer size, and the fact that the places that surround them seem beholden to their presence. Even the clouds far above this snowy peak look like they are moving out of its way. Mountains really are amazing places.

Speaking of mountains, this shot of the Western Tatras looks gorgeous! @peter.vrabel.photographer presents this warm and somewhat nostalgic shot depicting the green and seemingly endless scope of this mountain range. The stones shaped into a heart was a nice touch too. Even if hiking through such a place would be undoubtedly cold, this photo makes such a trip look warm and inviting. Maybe on a future journey.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @allover.nature, showcasing the absolutely breathtaking Victoria Falls in Zambia. The habitat of various natural flora and fauna, this bountiful cascade is large enough to show off a rainbow, as you can see in the photo. Waterfalls are one of the most scenic bodies of water out there, and Victoria Falls is no exception. Absolutely gorgeous.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel again, why not join in on our weekly blog?
