The natural world is something that we sometimes take for granted. With quarantines and lockdowns around the world, we’ve been given an opportunity to stop and think about life and how we impact the world around us. This chance to introspect may have influenced people to start gardening, or recycling, or even becoming vegan. Thinking deeply about nature, and also about one’s nature, might result in a more positive outlook of life. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve gathered five great Instagram photos that make us think about nature, in whatever way, shape, or form. Maybe it’s a beautiful cascade of water or a scenic mountain shot. Maybe it’s a human-made object, one that still reminds us of things that humans can never make. Our vegan culinary cruise plans may be postponed, but that shouldn’t stop any of us from exploring the world in our own way. Keep your sense of wonder alive indoors!

Ready? Let’s go!

A vibrant morning shot of Hoshinoya Guguan is a great way to begin the week! This wonderful photo from Taiwan is presented by @thesubtropics. Just look at how the sunshine basks the trees! Such a lovely and optimistic view, like a visual reminder of what the new day can bring and offer.

@theoutdoorcorps presents this amazing shot of Angels Landing, a vast and colorful vale of stone and trees that flank the winding waters of a blue river in Zion National Park. There’s something so hypnotic about the colors of Angels Landing. While this national park is known for its vast valleys and great heights, its color scheme is usually strong browns and oranges, with some very vibrant greens. Angels Landing looks quite different, with a soft minty green hue that blends well with the more subdued colors of the cliffs. A great sight.

Here’s that “human-made” thing we mentioned earlier. @chinolemustravel presents this attention-catching shot of a great hand buried in the sand of Punta del Este, Uruguay. It’s pretty stark, with white, possibly painted stone fingers rising up from well-trodden sand beneath a wispy blue sky. It reminds us of an album cover, or a symbolic painting. The image of a hand—a symbol of human ingenuity and potential—half-buried in the sand is a powerful one. What do you think about it?

Cooks Bay in Morea looks absolutely atmospheric in @rms_studio_polynesie photo. Here we see an island under a moody blue hue that seems to rival the color of the almost-placid waters below. Such dark colors could signify a storm, or maybe just a day with less sunshine. It could go either way, really. The shape of the mountain beyond the shore just adds so much to the photo.

@letravelclub_ presents our final pick of the week, a beautiful aerial shot of Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam. Oh, just look at that multilayered cascade, with mist rising high like the thick clouds covering the mountains of the horizon. Up above, it looks beautiful, but we bet that down there, on a little boat, the view of this waterfall would be absolutely breathtaking.

That’s it for this week, be sure to visit us next Tuesday for a fresh batch of great photos. When it’s safe to travel again, why not join in? Just add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel photos, and who knows, maybe you’ll be featured in a future blog!
