As winter approaches and the days become colder, the warmth of the indoors becomes all the more comforting. With Halloween and Christmas around the corner, we’ve got some great holidays to prepare for and celebrate. While our vegan travels have to wait a bit longer, that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy ourselves with the people we love. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got some great photos that feel like they encapsulate the austere quality of the last cold months of the year, from icy Nepal to warm Greece. Compiling these great photos is a good way to remind us that there’s still a beautiful world out there, waiting to be explored in better days.

Ready? Let’s go!

Let’s start with something starry! @catalogueofthenight.sky presents this beautiful pic of the Milky Way from Hooker Valley Track, a dazzling display of the cosmos beyond Earth, shot from an equally scenic pathway on a bright night. Too long have we been cooped up indoors, so a photo that reminds us of the vastness of the universe beyond our door is welcome.

Absorb the beautiful architecture of Mesaria in @bzh_ter_happy’s lovely photo. Here we see a most striking facade of a church and its bells, with the kind of sandcastle hue to them that makes them so captivating, almost like panels in a comic. The blue sky above just accents the colors of this great photo from Greece.

This mirrored body of water from the Kancamagus Highway comes from @go_places_do_stuff. Here we the sunset hues of water leaves and distant trees paint the cold, damp environment with a splash of sunshine. The mirrored water’s surface forms the center of this painting-esque display of nature, an environmental Still Life from along a scenic highway.

While the weather might be cold, that doesn’t mean that it has to be all pale colors and gloom. This shot from Makalu Barun National Park exemplifies this, showcasing both a distant mountainous shape along with a greener foreground. It’s the interplay between two contrasts that really makes a photo unique and beautiful to see.

Our final pic of the week belongs to @linny_wana, showcasing a shot of a pathway in a place called Meena Cafe in Thailand. Here we see the verdant colors of the rice field paralleling the grayish clouds of the nascent rain above. The winding path that leads off towards the distant spires of temples only makes this photo more alive. Such a locale is a must-try in the future.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos to keep your adventurous spirit alive. Want to showcase the locales of your future expeditions? You can add the hashtags #TravelTuesday and #VacationingVegan on your future travel pics, and who knows, maybe they’ll be featured in an upcoming blog!
