The world has changed over the years, but it still retains its beauty. In 2020, many of us cannot travel far and wide due to the current pandemic, but in spite of this, we can still appreciate the beauty of the places in which we are located. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve chosen 5 new Instagram destination photos that depict locales that feel familiar, but at the same time feel totally brand new. We’ve got misty roads, deep blue coasts, and so much more in store for you. While we’re prepping our upcoming vegan cruises for when the pandemic ends, let us gratify your eyes with this week’s collection.

Ready? Let’s go!

@the_artsy_lens0812 begins our TravelTuesday, with a mountainous forest in Gilgit Baltistan. What caught our eye most was the soft, almost pink hue of the shrubless slopes contrasting with the vibrant greens and oranges of the pointed, fern-like trees. There are various kinds of forests in the world, most of which have the same recognizable feel and hue to them, but from time to time, we stumble upon images of woodlands that are quite different from what we usually expect.

@billigwet.at presents this wonderful aerial shot of an island in Greece, capturing the softly gradient way the sands fade off into the deeper waters. The Aegean Sea was made famous by the various Greek myths that took place on the lands whose shores touched its waves, and in the modern day, it continues to house natural wonders, like the islands depicted in this photo. One of these days, we’ll visit this great sea and feel the sand between our toes once again.

Introducing the vast scope of Zion National Park is @shlomosiegelman2, capturing the sheer size of the nature reserve. Here we see steep, imposing cliffs that surround a gently sloping valley of trees and flowing streams, with some of the vegetation climbing onto the earthen faces of the cliffs. Nature is defined by many things, and this photo shows how it can be defined by its sheer size, easily dwarfing our human structures, yet still majestic all the same.

Off we go into the misty woods of Australia. @julianlallo presents a truly atmospheric shot of Black Spur, a road in Victoria graced with tall mountain ash trees and ferns. Here we see the linear shapes of the mountain ashes obscured by the mist, creating an otherworldly yet familiar feeling. How long has it been since you’ve gone on a long car ride, passing through nature, far, far away from the city? It’s been a while for us, that’s for certain. We miss going on trips.

From a misty road to a misty sky, @travexgroup’s shot of Myanmar’s hot air balloon-filled sky concludes our Travel Tuesday blog. Here we see the light and mist fading into each other, obscuring the shapes of the structures below and the floating hot air balloons above. The light of this photo suggests that it is dawn, the start of a new day, a new day for another chance at living your life the way you want it to be.

That’s it for our Travel Tuesday. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel again, why not join in on our weekly celebration?
