When we’re not organizing vegan cruises, we’re admiring great adventure spots from all over the world. This week, we’ve scoured the galleries of Instagram to provide you 5 great photos depicting great exploration and vacation spots around the world, from deep caves to airy islands.

Let’s start from the ground up, shall we? @fateh_sophi presents this great perspective shot of Canyon de Tafraoui. This natural wonder can be found in Algeria, and as you can see in this photo, the sheer walls of this cliff face catch the sun’s light in a most beautiful way, revealing the textured strata that belies the thousands of years of earth and stone that it holds. The earth truly has a multitude of wonders just waiting to be explored.

This shot of Iguacu Falls was taken by @den_baurin, the cascading waters of this Brazillian natural wonder almost like curtains upon the cliff’s face. It’s great to experience nature in motion, from flocks of birds to falling rain, and this waterfall destination is a great spot to immerse yourself in the natural world.

Mont Saint-Michel looks absolutely stunning in this photo by @gawri_fe_bladi. This French commune hosts a religious abbey that was well-protected throughout history, owing to the island-city’s position of safety. We just love the ethereal, dreamlike glow that comes from this Mont, which is enhanced by the city’s mirrored visage below the bridge. We agree wholeheartedly that this place is like a fairy tale city.

Speaking of bridges, our next pick is from @jen_ventures, presenting the Nine Arches Bridge of Sri Lanka. This weathered stone structure is surrounded by a vibrant green environment, this structure is distinguished by the lack of steel used in its construction. They say that journeys are more important than destinations, and what better place to embody this than through a scenic railway bridge, the epitome of a span between two places?

Our final pick is another waterfall, but one with a completely different vibe. @theworldwithsarah presents this awe-inspiring shot from the Faroe Islands of Denmark, a snow-like deluge that smashes against the rocks. The perspective of this photo makes it even more amazing. Just imagine yourself standing upon that stone, facing a roaring wall of water as it descends, the sound like a storm with no human shelter to stop the thunder.
