The beauty of the world continues to shine through the haze of uncertainty in today’s climate, with lush destinations and wondrous locales that are just waiting to be explored. The planet that we inhabit is truly a gorgeous place. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got a lovely selection of photos to show you, gathered from the galleries of the great people of Instagram. We’ve got lakes, forests and so much more for you to see.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @pasli.2627, presenting an idyllic view of a forest within the Borzsony mountain range of Hungary. The way the daylight shines through the canopy is nothing short of majestic. A snapshot of a woodland never fails to make us smile, and the serenity that we sense in this photo makes us long for peaceful walks through such a forest.

Next up is @iamhumayunkhan’s shot of a steep slope in Rocky Mountain National Park. National parks are great places for when you want to immerse yourself in the wonder of nature, with its high pathways and gorgeous natural landscapes. Here we see an almost 45-degree angle view of a mountainside, the trees remaining upright even as the land angles downwards.

This shot of the Ritlite by @rachev.photography is stunning. This place in Bulgaria is well-known for its fascinating rock formation, the Ritlite, which resembles the fins of a great beast, or the walls of a massive structure. The geological makeup of the planet gives birth to a variety of memorable shapes and sizes, and this particular spot in Bulgaria is home to such a natural structure.

@unshinebar_visual presents a beautiful overhead photo of a river in Geisterklamm, a premiere hiking area in Austria. Although the photo does not show the sky, the hue and texture of the waters as they flow through the rocky walls of the pass really evoke the blue of the sky. The vivid and myriad colors of the trees in the photo contribute to the overall aesthetic beauty of this snapshot of Geisterklamm.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @gaz_biv, showcasing a serene photo of a waterside house in Buachaille Etive Mòr. The distant sunset provides a layer of color and texture to the photo, without overwhelming it with the extreme hues of dusk. The small white house is striking amidst the quiet splendor of the mountain and the calm reflections on the water, providing a human angle to this slice of nature.
