When you’re up in an elevated position, it’s easy to feel disoriented about where you’re standing. We’re so used to being on even ground that standing on a high place makes us afraid of falling. However, after a while, you start to get used to it. On our vegan travels, we visit places that are so high up that it’s cold enough to see our breath. Such places provide some of the most amazing views. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got exciting photos in store for you, gathered from the galleries of the great folk of Instagram. We’ve got beaches, canyons and so much more for you to see.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @walkerroland1, presenting a gorgeous view from Belalp, in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. The ridges of the mountain look particularly well-textured, the slight shade of the clouds above providing a contrast to the sunlit portions of the slope. There’s a sense of crispness to the details of mountains on a sunny day, as if the air of the highland is so fresh that you can see things more clearly.

Next up is @bri_generate with a sweeping and scenic shot of the Grand Canyon, a wonderful view enhanced by the cloud bank far above. It’s really amazing how a singular area can have such dynamic scenery. Here we see three distinct hues, from the roiling whites and grays of the sky, the deep green of the trees and shrubbery below, and the vivid earthen tones of the canyon itself, all combining into a harmonious image.

@basmotooo presents a lovely shot of Menganti Beach, a place of bright blue waves and white sand. There’s something so fresh and lively about a beach on a sunny day. Coupled by the fact that the sounds of crashing waves and the smell of sea water is oh so calming, a simple image of a beach can really evoke feelings of peace and relaxation. Many of us really want to go to the beach once more in the near future, when it’s safe to do so.

This photo by @elliotmcgucken showcases the sheer beauty and color of Bryce Canyon, a place known for its stunning rock formations that are so full of color. It’s as if the distilled essence of a radiant sunset was splashed across the stones themselves. We also love how the sky and the distant mountains on the horizon contrast and complement the warm hues of the canyon’s iconic spires.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @renatajasil, presenting a gorgeous sunset in Tuscany, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Tuscany is also known for its gorgeous landscapes, from rolling hills to scenic towns. The vivid hues of the setting sun enhance the natural gorgeousness of the region. From the trees to the fields to the hazy sun, this portrait of Tuscany is absolutely great.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great photos to admire and be inspired by.
