There are many ways to achieve peace and tranquility, even temporarily. For us, it was vegan travels and great plant-based dishes. Even with less than ideal circumstances, we still find other ways to enjoy ourselves and find happiness. Welcome to this week’s TravelTuesday blog.

This week, we’ve got an exciting bunch of photos to show you, gathered from the galleries of the great folk of Instagram. We’ve got beaches, mountains and so much more for you to see.

Ready? Let’s go!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @gstosica, presenting a nice, serene shot of a beach in Douarnenez. Here, the white beach is not entirely flawless, with rocky shore, and the sky is not entirely blue, with a light cloud covering it. The slight imperfection of the world presented in this photo enhances its wonder, as if its a place that isn’t too good to be true.

Next up is @todoles’s shot of Boulder Falls, a snapshot of the rocky waterfall without any obstructions or signs of human contact. There’s a beauty to seeing untouched parts of nature, especially here, where the waters fall pure and the rock’s texture seems to pop out due to the light. We can almost hear the bird calls and the burbling of the cascading waters in this place.

@krystianmazur.km presents a dynamic yet peaceful shot of a creek in a park in Slaskie, Poland. It’s fascinating to observe the creek’s water turn into mini waterfalls as they flow down the rocks, the string-like strands of white cotton amidst the greenery. Such a calming sight.

@musicnkafe presents a magnificent shot of Turtuk Monastery, sitting upon a slope that looks into a deep ravine. The straight lines of the pale stonework of the monastery complement the more rugged textures of the mountain landscape around it. At this distance, the monastery itself looks like a wonderful well-detailed miniature.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @carlos_alfarotattoo, presenting a breathtaking view from Torres del Paine. Here we see a truly magnificent view of the higher parts of the park, with a landscape that can only be described as fantastic. From the shadowed foreground stones to the crisp white snow, from distant peaks to the sprawling galaxy in the sky, this photo is truly magnificent.
