Today is the end of the week and the informal start to the weekend. The lockdowns and quarantines may be stressing us out, but we can always find ways to occupy our time and fight off that ever-present pall of uncertainty that the coronavirus has brought about in our lives. To that end, let’s celebrate the taste and greatness of vegan cuisine on our Food Friday blog!

This week, we’ve compiled another 5 great vegan food photos from Instagram, some of which come with great easy vegan recipes. Such great plant-based cuisine can widen our cooking repertoires and further give us something tasty to look forward to on our weekends. Nothing like a new recipe to try out when you’re cooking on a Saturday afternoon, right?

Excited? Let’s dig in!

Let’s start with some dessert treats! (daring and new, we know, but really, why not appetize yourself with something sweet?) @breadandbrunches kicks off our Food Friday celebration with a delectable plate of brownies! Vegan food is known for its vibrant colors, but sometimes, a single, resolute hue is enough to get someone’s mouth watering. We’re loving the textures of this square set of bite-sized delights, and wonder what sort of unique sweet taste will grace our tongues if we ever try them.

And speaking of vibrant colors, @simpleatings showcases this great summer salad. We said it before and we’ll say it again: Plant-based cuisine isn’t always necessarily green in hue, and that’s why it’s so versatile. The carrots, cabbages and beans that make up this delicious dish combine together into a wonderful sight, one that makes us hungry for colorful salad in our own homes.

Who says you can’t have a vegan barbeque in the summertime? @ellbeing_ellie presents this harissa-coated vegan kebab, with a delicious assortment of greens including zucchinis, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. Hey, if we’ve developed vegan turkey, why not a vegan kebab? While we can’t go on luncheons or get-togethers at the moment, we can still enjoy the wonderful feeling of cooking delicious vegan cuisine in our backyards.

This vegan food photo by @wwplantbased looks real fresh to us. Showcasing a plate of rice, broccoli and crispy orange cauliflower, this food photo gives off this really nourishing vibe. Maybe it’s the stark green of the broccoli, or the arrangement of the chopstick. Seriously, there’s just something about this that we can’t place, something that seems to embody good eating. How do you feel about it?

⁣Peach, blueberries and peanut butter it is today! Might not look as delicious as some of my previous posts but it was delish! Promise I’ll come up with something more fun next time 🤧 for now i’m just trying to use all the fresh fruit I have as you can see 😂. Hope everyone is having a lovely thursday wherever in the world you are! The sun is finally back where I am and the only thing I’ve put on my agenda for today is to enjoy it 🏖. ⠀ ⠀ ✨⠀ ⠀ __________________________________⠀ #breakfast #latebreakfast #latebrunch #breakfasttime☕ #porridge #porridgebowl #porridgeporn #porridgelover #freshfood #freshfruit #simplepleasures #simplelife #blessed #blessings #food #foodporn #foodphotography #foodstagram #foodie #foodblogger #foodpics #healthyfood #healwithfood #nutrientdense #vegan #breakfastbowl #breakfastideas #guthealth #falmouth #cornwall

For our final pick for this friday, we’ve got a lovely food photo of some vegan porridge by @flavoursofheaven. With some berries, fruit slices and nuts, this breakfast meal must take fantastic while looking out one’s upper story window, feeling the morning breeze and you fill yourself up for the day. And with this great vegan meal to start the day, we conclude this week’s Food Friday blog.

Well, that’s the end of our blog. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of vegan food photos. We would love to add your vegan food picks to our weekly blogs. Simply add the hashtags #FoodFriday and #VacationingVegan on your future vegan food photos on Instagram. Let’s celebrate plant-based cuisine together!
