Nostalgia is a strange and pervasive feeling, one that many of us feel at least once in our lives. The days that have passed by continue to linger in memory, and you’ll never know when something as small as a soft tune or a sunlit street can trigger your nostalgia. We miss a lot of things in the past, but on the bright side, the future can always surprise us with something better. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve got quite the collection of vegan foods in store for you, gathered from the great galleries of Instagram’s plant-based enthusiasts. We’ve got fritters, sushi and so much more to present!

Ready? Let’s dig right in!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @elinagives, presenting a plate of photogenic vegan donuts. We’re loving the smooth pink and white texture of these delicious snack desserts, something that’s accenting by the lighting. With lovely glaze and ever-delicious vanilla, this donut is sure to bring you delight.

Who wants dumplings! We certainly do, after seeing @michiestyle’s photo of mouth-watering dumplings and stir-fried veggies. Together with the vivacious flavors of Hawaiian chili peppers, we’re certain that this is one satisfying meal. Stir-fry meals and dimsum dishes have this certain charm and flavor to them that’s hard to ignore, making them great picks for any summertime meal.

@veganbykandi presents a whole bunch of vegan croissants, prepared with pesto, parsley, pine nuts and tomatoes. Savory croissants haven’t showed up on our radar often, but this one caught our eye, with their bite-sized proportions and festive green and red coloring. Pesto is great, and seeing it work so well with croissants is really satisfying.

This fresh plant-based sushi by @plantbasedpavvy looks sumptuous and serene, almost like a meal that you’d eat on a relaxing vacation day. Vegan sushi combines the rice-based goodness of Japanese cuisine with the healthy nutrients of plant-based recipes, creating a filling meal that’s easy to chew and guaranteed to satisfy.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @leafy_cauldron, presenting their eye-catching zucchini fritters. These chewy delights have such a vibrant yellow color scheme, a sure-fire way to get your attention. The recipe list to the side also means that you can make this great dish for yourself at home. Yum!

That’s it for this week, be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great vegan food photos to admire and be inspired by. Want to showcase your own creations?
