The days go by in a way that they seem to blend together, a singular moment of indoor living. However, there are times when the monotony of the day is broken apart by significant things, such as the coming of rain, or the smell of delicious vegan cuisine. We all need ways to keep moving forward because tomorrow is always nearby. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve got a great gallery of vegan food photos to show you, collected from the plant-based food enthusiasts of Instagram. We’ve got soups, donuts and so much more in store for you!

Ready? Let’s dig right in!

Our first pic belongs to @simply_whole_vegan, showcasing their mouth-watering vegan taco soup! Who says you need beef for the proper taco experience? Also, it’s in soup form! Perfect for those cold or rainy days when you want something hot and zesty in your stomach.

@the_sassy_starchivore presents their exciting mango rice bowl, made with snow peas, green beans, carrots and, of course, frozen mango chunks. Mangos are a tropical delight that works well with vegan ice cream (trust us, it’s absolutely delicious) but did you know that it also works well with savory food? Well, you do now! Look how yummy this is!

We’ve got another great tortilla dish on our hands! @yappy.vegan’s homemade tostadas have a nice selection of ingredients, from exciting pickled cabbage to savory homemade salsa. The humble tostada is a versatile Mexican dish that you can prepare in any way that you like, and we must say, this one looks quite nice.

Another lovely soup graces our feed! @wackoveganmom presents a comfy bowl of tofu miso ramen. Ah, three foods that bring to mind a calming afternoon. Tofu pairs well with a lot of dishes, and miso soup is just so delicious. Ramen is so satisfying to slurp down too, so a combination of tofu, miso and ramen is a recipe for wonder.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @shortgirltallorder, showcasing a delightful baked vegan strawberry and rhubarb donut. Donuts are one of those desserts that have a satisfying mouth feel when you bite into them, a mixture of flavorful toppings and chewy dough. Having something fluffy and sweet for dessert can really make you smile.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos to admire and be inspired by. Want to showcase your own vegan food creations? Just add the hashtag #FoodFriday on your future IG vegan food photos, and who knows, maybe you’ll be featured in a future blog!
