One thing that many are looking for right now is tranquility, a sense of peace and quiet that seems scarce in such a busy and eventful time. We all have our own way of achieving the peace that we seek, whether it’s yoga, painting, or even playing music. For us, making and admiring great vegan cuisine calms us down, and helps us focus on the important things in life. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve compiled a great set of clean and calming vegan dishes from the great foodies of Instagram. We’ve compiled lovely toast, tasty Buddha bowls, and more! Be inspired to make your own great dishes today.

Ready? Let’s dig right in!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @artahretreats, showcasing a mouth-watering rendition of the traditional avocado toast. Avocado and toast work well together like peanut butter and jelly, so it’s no wonder that variants of this recipe have spread far and wide. This particular food photo showcases a delectable slice that’s sure to have an unforgettable taste.

Who doesn’t love Pad Thai? This comfy bowl by @busybeeme3 showcases all the best parts of this Thai recipe, with sesame, tofu and assorted veggies accompanying the noodle strands. Imagine dining on this tasty bowl in between your Zoom meetings and online classes, a calming meal that gets you through the next task at hand.

Buddha bowl! @islandbabe_healthyfood presents this vibrant and colorful bowl of assorted plant-based wonders, from zucchini patties to grated hummus. Like smoothies and salads, the Buddha bowl is perfectly customizable, so you can have your own clean and nourishing meal just the way you like it.

@yogamelissa_ presents this close-up shot of a bowl of great coconut protein balls, complete with a simple recipe for you to follow. Coconut is, in our opinion, one of the more underrated tropical fruits out there in terms of sweet foods. Sure, we’ve got pineapple pies and banana bread, but bite-sized delights like these balls are quite the experience.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @napluacook, showcasing a colorful plant-based rendition of the Danish smorrebrod. An open-faced sandwich garnished with a variety of ingredients, this vegan rendition of a Scandinavian delight eschews the meat, fish and cheese of the original, using okra, beetroot hummus and green peas. Nothing like a brand new type of bread recipe to try out.

That’s it for this week, be sure to visit us next Friday for a fresh batch of great food photos to admire and be inspired by. Interested in showcasing your photogenic vegan cuisine?
