The world can be stressful, and with all the events going on, it can seem difficult to appreciate the simple things in life. Sometimes we experience sudden and unwanted change, things that we can’t control. In times like this, it’s important to find small comforts and peaceful moments, and although we’ll have to wait a bit before we can go on vegan travels, your time at home can be made cozier with good food and friends. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve chosen five great vegan food photos that would be fitting for cozy moments and break times. We’ve got bars, wraps, and so much more in store for you in this week’s gallery. Vegan food isn’t only healthy, but it’s also a good way to slow down and relax a bit.

Ready? Let’s go!

First is this lovely set of vegan patties, prepared by @chefcynthialouise1. Made from a unique combination of carrots, mushrooms, parsley and other goodies, this photo comes with a complete list of ingredients, so you too can prepare it for yourself at home. . It’s got that nice texture going on with it, belying the richness of its components. We sure do love recipes for vegan foods that can be used in different kinds of cuisine. We can see these patties being prepared for burgers, tacos and many other kinds of vegan dishes.

Speaking of taco, check this out! @eatsbycarrie presents these great roast pumpkin and pesto tacos, with bits of cucumber and other plant-based goodies. There’s something so clean and fresh about this food photo, one that implies a feeling of satisfaction when eating such a fine-looking meal. While the taste of a dish is important, the presentation can also enhance the gastronomic experience of a vegan meal. And by golly, this taco’s presentation is superb!

You don’t really need dairy products to make great lasagna, as evident by this mouth-watering layered vegetable lasagna by @plantbasedfortheanimals. Oh, we are loving those layers! From the Sheesy top to the saucy middle, down to the chunky lower portions, this lasagna is evidently delicious from top to bottom!

@food.dra presents this simple but striking vegan taco, made from tomato, falafel and other great plant-based ingredients. There’s nothing like a good wrap to nourish you during cold or rainy afternoons, right? Wrapped in a blanket, munching on a wrap in between your online tasks. We love how simple and easy to make this vegan meal is, because if there’s something that we can relate to, it’s to have food that’s ready to grab on the go.

Speaking of ready to grab food, check out @hungryfox_malta’s coconut and chocolate protein bars! Healthy vegan bars are the proverbial lubricant that can keep busy vegan goings during particularly work-packed days, and it’s always good to see another variant of this trusty snack. Coconut is an especially satisfying ingredient when you want that quick and fulfilling bite before a Zoom meeting. Oh, the joys of protein bars.
