Mother Nature is full of great bounty, fruits and vegetables that we harvest and use for our daily meals. Vegan cuisine is, in essence, a way to appreciate what the natural world has to offer. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve chosen 5 new vegan food photos with styles and textures that remind us of how great plant-based ingredients are, from fresh naan bread to leafy tomato salads.

Feeling hungry? Let’s dig in!

To kickstart this week’s blog, check out this delicious and mouth-watering vegan flatbread by @the_fiery_chickpea. This delectable recipe is made using soya yogurt, flour and coriander, with some chili oil for that wonderful spice. This would make an excellent snack on an unusually rainy day, and the presentation here looks appetizing too.

Next up is this miso tofu plate by @xsophiebernardettelakemanx, a hearty service of seed-covered protein and delectable greens. The tofu’s seeds and coloring works well with the deep greens of the leaves, giving off this fresh, sophisticated look that makes it stand out from regular tofu servings. We can imagine something like this being served in a high-end restaurant, but what’s stopping you from making your own great cuisine indoors?

MOOD BOOSTING, NO BAKE COOKIE BITES (Vegan and Sugar Free option) 🍪 These are a simple, super tasty snack which contain protein powder to give an extra boost to curb that sweet tooth craving or just general snacking feeling. Im currently on 30 days sugar-free avoiding all foods containing processed sugar, so these are a great healthy snack to have at hand! The best part is they all come together in less than 5 minutes and can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or freezer for one month! INGREDIENTS: Wet: ¼ cup coconut oil (melted and cooled) ½ cup almond butter (or nut butter of choice) ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons maple syrup, agave or honey *can omit for a less sweet version 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Dry: ¼ cup chocolate protein powder ¼ cup cacao powder 2 cups oats *can use gluten-free 1 tablespoon coconut flour METHOD: – Combine dry ingredients and mix to combine. – In a separate bowl, whisk nut butter, sweetener and vanilla. Whisk in coconut oil then fold in dry ingredients. – Roll into 1 – 2 tablespoon balls and placed on a parchment paper lined container. – Refrigerate for an hour before eating. Keep in the fridge to store. THE GEEK BIT: – Cacao contains natural compounds known to reduce anxiety and lift our moods. – It also contains more calcium than cows milk. – Is densely packed with iron, magnesium and antioxidants (flavanols). – As well as fibre, supporting a healthy gut and weight management. – The high antioxidant content supports radiant, younger looking skin. – It has 4 x the antioxidants of goji berries, 80 x the antioxidants of green tea and 15 x antioxidants of blueberries. – Antioxidants help neutralise the damaging effects of free radicals on the skin, boost the production of collagen, increase cellular healing and counteract signs of ageing – all hail the cacao bean for eternal youth! #bethebestversionofyou #30dayssugarfree #vegansnacks #plantbasednutrition #healthysnacking #vegan #veganrecipes #veganbreakfast #veganfood #cleaneating

@getarecipee showcases this fresh bowl of tomato chickpea salad, a vibrant circle of veggies that, to quote the caption, will “tingle the taste buds and also satisfy your appetite.” Each salad is a work of art, and although they are quite common as vegan cuisines go, that doesn’t mean each one isn’t delectable in its own way. This salad bowl’s bright colors and ingredients belie that wonderful flavors that it must have.

라즈베리 크럼블 바 새콤달콤 라즈베리잼 듬뿍, 고소하고 바삭바삭한 아몬드 소보루 듬뿍😋 얼려둬도 괜찮은 냉동실 프렌들리 스낵이에요. Raspberry jam is my go to jam to make crumble bar since it is not too watery and also has amazing balance of sweetness and sourness in taste! I used almond meal to make crumble so it's super nutty and crunch! Perfect snack for humpday!

Our food pic is by @ju_is_at_home, showcasing these artfully-presented raspberry jam crumble bars. The white crumbs and deep purple hues work together quite well, and the limited lighting and aesthetically-placed herb makes this photo look both artistic in a timeless sense, like an ad in an old magazine, or a painting on the wall of an old office. We bet that it tastes timeless and delicious too. We love us some jam, and crumble bars are also quite delicious. Together they must make quite a combo.
