How’s your week been? We hope that you’ve been keeping your spirits up. You might not be able to go on a vegan travel vacation yet, but you can still cook up some delicious plant-based cuisine at home. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.
This week, we’ve chosen 5 new vegan food photos by the great foodies of Instagram, from sweet treats to savory delights. We think that this week’s selection would be great comfort food during both bright, hot days and cold, rainy afternoons.
Ready? Let’s dig right in!
We’ve always had a soft spot for pasta! @suzybecque presents our first pick for this Food Friday blog, a delicious linguine with olives and tomatoes. We can almost taste the great textures and flavors of this dish just by looking at the image! Tomatoes and olives taste absolutely heavenly together, and they are perfectly delectable when paired with great pasta.
@christopher114 presents our next vegan food pick, a mouth-watering dish of sliced potatoes and mushrooms, topped with cashew cheese. Potatoes are very hearty meals on their own, and mushrooms have a savory taste to them that helps complete any vegan meals they are used in. Add them both together alongside cashew cheese? Yum!
Snack break! Have some lovely crispy root chips by @hungry_little_bellies. At least, the photo of crispy root chips anyways. We’re just loving the golden hues and violet textures of these plant-based snacks. There’s a lot you can do with root crops, if you’re creative enough.
Can we get some ramen? Yes we can! @vegannoni presents this wonderful broccoli ramen and mushroom plate, with a complete recipe to boot! We never really understood the stigma behind broccoli amongst kids when we grew up. These tree-shaped goodies can be paired off with various vegan delights, like this ramen recipe. Plus, their vivid colors create a great contrast with the deeper orange color of the noodle meal. You know how we just love culinary color-contrasts!
Let’s get something sweet to conclude this week! @eatwellwithgabs presents our last pick for this week’s Food Friday, a chocolate banana protein smoothie, designed to both satisfy your taste buds and refill your spent energy cells. Who says that your vigor-boosting drink has to be bland or commercialized? The beauty of vegan cuisine is that you always have the power to make it yourself. You are empowered to provide for your own nutrition.
That’s it for our Food Friday this week. Be sure to visit us next week for another batch of visually-pleasing vegan food photos. Interested in joining our celebration of vegan food? Just add the hashtags #FoodFriday and #VacationingVegan on your next vegan food photo. Who knows, maybe you’ll be featured in a future blog!
