How’s your week going? Have you done anything that makes you happy? We’ve got a fresh batch of wonderful vegan food photos to brighten up your end of the week. Welcome to our Food Friday blog!

In this time of pandemic and social distancing, we can’t travel as much as we’d like, but we can still enjoy great vegan cuisine. We’re always here to provide you with five great vegan food photos each week from the great foodies of Instagram. Hopefully they can inspire you on your own plant-based cuisine ventures.

Feeling hungry? Let’s dig right in!

Let’s start with something sweet! This lovely vegan white chocolate cake is presented to you by @zoeskitchencreations. We’re loving the simple pinkness of the frosting. Combined with the placing of the edible flowers, this dairy-free cake reminds us of a fruit smoothie in many ways. However, we’re quite sure that it tastes quite different!

Bouncing back to the savory side of things, @shweyineats presents this delectable tofu thote. This Burmese vegan dish is made from chickpea, tofu (of course), and an assortment of flavorsome ingredients that includes chopped lime, tamarind sauce and chili powder. Phew! Just reading about it makes our mouths water. We’ve been itching for a spicy vegan meal for a while now!

Soba noodles are the most simple food to make, takes 3 minutes to prep and can put on anything you want. For this I made an eggplant bolognese, added in some grated zucchini and smoked tofu, topped with radish sprouts 🍜 . Soba tészta az egyik leggyorsabban, legegyszerűbben elkészíthető étel, tényleg 3 perc és bármit rakhatsz rá. Ehhez padlizsán bolognai készült amibe került egy kis reszelt cukkini, füstölt tofu és a tetejére retekcsíra 🍜 #diet #lunch #noodles #soba #vegan #bolognese #sugarfree #dairyfree #nutrition #healthylifestyle #healthy #whatveganseat #mik #fitfam #poweredbyplants #mutimiteszel #food #foodstagram #foodporn #foodphotograhy #sprouts #simple #simplemeals

@itsmedorawhite presents our next Food Friday pick, a plate of soba noodles presented in an artistic, almost minimalist fashion. The dark plate seems to enhance the enticing brown colors of the soba noodles and tofu, which in turn makes the vivid hues of the tomatoes and radish sprouts very noticeable and compelling. We like dishes that catch our attention, and this one has both our eyes and our stomachs in its grasp.

Last nights protein packed stir fry 🥢 Directions: I always soak the eggplant in water for 15 minutes before cooking to soften them up. Then cover them in white miso paste and put the cubes in the oven for 40 minutes. In a wok, stir fry and onion, heaps of garlic, ginger and chilli. Add your veg (courgette and beans here). Cook the quinoa according to packet instructions. For the sauce I used hoisin, rice wine vinegar, soy, sesame oil and water (I keep adding bits of each until I think it tastes nice) Add everything to the wok and voila! Add a little parsley and sesame seeds to serve 🧑🏻‍🍳🧑🏼‍🌾 #vegan #veganrecipes #easyrecipes #healthyfood #healthyeating #vegetarian #veganuary #meatfree #lightandeasy #dairyfree #crueltyfree

Let’s get some stir fry around here! @imperfectveegan presents their quinoa stir fry masterpiece, complete with a cohesive recipe guide. Quinoa is a lot like rice, in that it can be used in a variety of culinary contexts. Seeing quinoa in a vegan recipe means that you’re not quite sure what kind of great gastronomic experience to expect. Quinoa stir fry? Sign us up!

Like the pages of a book, we conclude this Food Friday with another plant-based cake delight. @hiitsstephbakery presents this wondrous cookie dough raw cake, a great rendition of a classical sweet meal. You should totally check this cake out from different angles, because it looks so much better when you can visualize it in three dimensions. This cake shows how you don’t need animal products to create a great dessert.
