How’s your 2020 going? Been cooking some delicious vegan dishes? Or do need inspiration? Fret no more, our #FoodFriday blog is here to provide you with great dishes to dazzle your eyes! This week we’ve decided to focus on the wonders of vegan pasta and have scoured the galleries of Instagram’s great foodies for the best vegan pasta pics.

Lift that fork and prepare that vegan parmesan. Let’s dig into this week’s selection!

First up is @bryonyskitchen’s vegan linguine pasta dish. Prepared with pine nuts, parsley and creamy butternut sauce, this pasta meal is also Al dente, so it’ll be quite firm to the tooth (see what we did there?) With a readily available recipe accompanying the post, we just can’t wait to try this meal out for ourselves.

Next up is this succulent mac and (vegan) cheese bowl served with mouth-watering garlic mushrooms. @cheffbulent’s food photo looks amazing, with appealing lighting and artistically-placed ingredients around the center bowl. This vegan pasta meal also has a recipe, utilizing a dairy-free version of cheese that we’d love to try in our own home vegan cuisine.

@theveggiebutcher (love that name) presents our next vegan food pick, a lovely plate of mezzalunas with soya mince, basil and tomato. We’ve all tried spaghetti and macaroni pastas, but how many of us have tried a mezzelune meal? This appetizing food photo makes us want to go to the nearest store and buy this pasta to cook our own meals (while checking the label of course – some pasta includes egg).

The color green is such a calming color (no wonder eating all-green cuisine makes us feel so zen!). Speaking of zen, this penne pesto pasta bowl by @ani.eats.plants looks like a meal fit to eat after meditating, the soft colors of the hummus, pesto, and broccoli suggesting a calming and satisfying taste. We can imagine ourselves eating this dish with chopsticks on a sunny afternoon.

Our final Food Friday choice is by @ninabarwald, combining two great dishes into one amazing piece of vegan cuisine. Full disclosure: we absolutely adore ratatouille, from its intangible historical context to its tangible combination of all-green flavors, and this vegan dish combines this French meal with Italy’s most famous viand. Kudos to you, @ninabarwald!

Well, that’s it for our Food Friday. Next week, we’ve got a fresh new selection of vegan dishes for you to admire and be inspired by. Why not join in on our weekly celebration of vegan cuisine? Just add the hashtags #FoodFriday and #VacationingVegan on your great IG vegan food photo. Who knows, maybe you’ll get to inspire other vegans and vegan-curious foodies by being featured in our blog!
