When traveling, you get to taste so many new vegan dishes from around the world, and sometimes you get a taste of home from somewhere else. That’s the great thing about food, there’s always new flavors and combinations, but the feelings and memories that come with it are always present. Let’s take a tasty trip down memory lane on this week’s Food Friday!

This week, we’ve got a great collection of vegan food photos to show you, gathered from the galleries of Instagram’s dedicated vegan foodies. We’ve got cakes, tandoori and so much more for you to feast your eyes on.

Ready to dig in? Let’s go!

Our first pick for this week is from @deanocciola with their tasty pistacchio gelato. Summer may be ending but gelato is in season, every season! Creamy gelato would be perfect on a warm day, especially with all those pistachio nuts. This creamy treat is definitely healthier than ice cream so it’s almost 100% guilt free!

Fruity yogurt treats are great any day and @sweetnutrition_byale version of their nutty butter yogurt dish is the perfect combination of sweet, bitter, and fruity. If you’re on a strict diet, this is the perfect choice for dessert or breakfast.

Everyone loves hummus. It’s that one dip everyone adores using and @vivbunnyrabbitviv twist on the traditional hummus is worth a try. Unlike the original chickpea only recipe, sweet potato is added and it makes a world of a difference. Let’s not forget about the copious amounts of garlic, which is not something to complain about. Take your hummus to another level with this recipe.

Time for some dessert by @biancazapatka presenting their beautiful and bright blueberry cheesecake! The best part about this cake is that it’s vegan and no-bake. Less effort, maximum taste. It’s gorgeously vibrant and tart, so much so, you’ll be craving another piece soon after the first. Serve your guests a cake like this and watch them be utterly impressed by how good it looks and tastes!

Our last pick for this week is from @afshankhan23 gracing us with a not-so traditional version of Tandoori. Usually, it’s cooked with chicken but this tofu substitute is just as good. The spices really carry this dish and give it that original flavor, just with a different meat substitute. It’s the perfect eastern dish you won’t get tired of.

That’s it for this week. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of great vegan food photos to admire and be inspired by. Interested in showcasing your own vegan foods? Just add the hashtags #FoodFriday and #VacationingVegan on your future vegan food photos, and who knows, maybe they’ll be featured in a future blog!
