Christmas is here! There’s a lot of inspiring culinary imagery for you to enjoy as you prepare for your holiday celebrations. We love festivities, especially when we pair them with vegan food. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog!

This week, we’ve got a great collection of vegan cuisine photos to show you, gathered from the galleries of Instagram’s dedicated foodies. We’ve got soups, pastas and so much more for you to feast your eyes on.

Ready? Let’s dig right in!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @andycook0718, presenting a sumptuous plate of whole wheat vegan pasta. This delicious serving of pasta comes with courgettes, tomatoes and yeast as a cheese substitute, all contributing to the colorful textures of this tasty dish. We can imagine the burst of flavor that comes from eating this awesome dish.

Next up is @thehiddengemtreats with their eye-catching oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookies. Cookies are a staple sweet snack for cold holiday evenings. They work well with coffee, tea or hot cocoa, drinks that you imbibe to fight the cold of Christmas winds. Oatmeal is a wholesome and healthy ingredient, so not only are these cookies delicious, they’re good for your well-being too!

Soup is always a welcome meal for dinner, and this delight by @luv2bveg is no exception. This mirepoix lentil soup tub has a warmth to it that is hard to describe. Perhaps it’s the thick lentils in the broth, or the warm lighting of the area. The inviting garlic bread on the sides of this soup is also a nice touch. Soup is often used to start or end a meal, but a soup dish like this can serve as a sumptuous main course.

@_fraveganita_ presents a nice, simple and utterly elegant vegan sandwich. Sandwiches are common around the world, but in no way are they pedestrian or boring. Each sandwich is unique, but at the same time resonates with other sandwich styles. There is a universality to two pieces of bread holding food between them, a simple yet elegant approach to snacking and filling one’s stomach.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @quegos_cakes, capping off this holiday gallery with a pair of lovely vegan yule log cakes. The yule log is a popular holiday dessert around the globe, derived from an old folk tradition that involves burning a log during winter. The way old cultures influence future generations of food enthusiasts is inspiring. It’s as if recipes like this form a clear link between the past and the present, a promise for a more hopeful and steady tomorrow. Happy holidays!
