When the world outside is too hot or too cold, you can always find comfort in the small things that keep you company indoors. From the books on the shelf to the flowers on your desk, all the small things that you have give you joy. Making great vegan cuisine is also a joyous thing. Preparing nourishing food is its own reward. Welcome to this week’s Food Friday blog.

This week, we’ve got a great collection of vegan food photos to show you, gathered from the galleries of Instagram’s dedicated foodies. We’ve got donuts, pastas, and so much more for you to feast your eyes on.

Ready? Let’s dig right in!

Our first pick of the week belongs to @spicesandsympathy, showcasing a pleasant and brightly-colored bowl of vegan lemongrass stir-fry. There are many ways to prepare a vegan meal, and stir-fry is a delicious option to take. This style of cooking can really bring about the flavor and texture of plant-based ingredients. Using great vegan substitutes, this particular lemongrass dish is a stunning sight to behold.

Next up is @theregoesmarc with their delicious vegan kimchi tempeh taco. Kimchi is a great Korean dish with a spiciness that’s unparalleled. Combining it with the chewy and captivating textures of tacos is a brilliant culinary concept, one that enhances both ingredients. We’d love to savor such a spicy snack one day.

Who wants pasta! @mamacinthekitchen presents a mouth-watering bowl of Pasta della Norma, a Catalan pasta variant made using eggplants. Eggplants have a distinct flavor to them, one that lends well to a variety of European vegan recipes, such as ratatouille. Eggplants and pasta work well together, like peanut butter and chocolate. If you’re craving for something exciting and filling, try Pasta della Norma.

@asianveganandbeyond showcases this beautiful loaf of gluten-free vegan bread, made with rice flour. There’s nothing like a good slice of bread to eat when you’re busy with indoor work. You can pair it with a vegan spread, or slice some veggies for a quick sandwich. You can toast it, dip it in coffee, or just enjoy it as it is. Bread is truly a versatile food.

Our final pick of the week belongs to @puremuffinandmore, showcasing several delightful pumpkin spice vegan donuts. Vegan donuts are amazing. They are sweet but still healthy, and the methods to making them are varied, to the point that each individual vegan donut is like a different work of art. These donuts certainly look artful, and the way the light reflects off of their glazed surfaces is just brilliant.
