There are many great locales and travel destinations all over the world, places that we’d love to visit on our future vegan culinary cruises. While the current pandemic has delayed and rescheduled our travel plans, that doesn’t mean that one’s desire to explore the world should atrophy and disappear. It’s good to keep one’s spirits up and remember that tomorrow is another day. Welcome to this week’s Travel Tuesday blog.

This week, we’ve chosen five great photos that showcase wonderful places that are great to admire and even better to visit, from high mountains to scenic rock formations. It’s a great way to cultivate your interest in things even as we’re stuck at home.

Ready? Let’s go!

The yellowish plains of Naxos come alive in @globalwanderingkangaroo0603’s photo. Here we see a resplendent hue that gives off a sense of vibrance and wonder to the Greek countryside, imbuing it with a feeling of life and beauty that looks both natural and magical at the same time. They say yellow is the color of joy, and this photo exemplifies that.

@roshanbhujel2073 presents this gorgeous waterfall shot from the Manaslu Circuit trek in the Himalayas. Here we see a great cascade fall over such stunning and colorful cliffs, a force of water that is so unlike the horizontal lakes and oceans that we often see. Seeing such a sight along a trek must be quite a treat.

Let’s take a break from the beauty of nature to admire the beauty of Valletta, Malta. Here we see buildings that blend with the creamy color of sand, edifices of a capital city in the middle of the sea. This Mediterranean destination is quite charming, and we’d love to visit it someday.

Hailing the incoming sunset 🌄

@kathleenkyang showcases the Kolobe Canyons of Zion National Park, in the midst of the setting sun. Here we see the rays of the sunset paint the rocky cliffs in vibrant hues of orange, even as the green ground starts to darken with the coming night. Seeing the beauty of the sun reflect on these natural sky-scrapers must be awesome to experience up close.

Our final pick of the week comes from @anomandrus, showcasing the Devetashka Cave and Krushuna Waterfalls of Bulgaria. Here we see vast natural caverns with great holes that showcase the sky above, almost like a series of cenotes. There’s a sense of dynamism to this landscape that we find most admirable, with the world above and the world below connected via the exposed sky.

That’s it for this Tuesday. Be sure to visit us next week for a fresh batch of photos to admire and be inspired by. When it’s safe to travel, why not join in on our weekly celebration?
